Children’s Day Celebration - Auxilium Preethi Nivas Maradiyur

Auxilium Maradiyur celebrated Children’s Day and Campaign against Child Abuse on 8th November 2014. Koppa Grama Panchayat President Mr. Renuka Swamy inaugurated the celebration and campaign. It was followed by a rally to the important nook and corner of Maradiyur and Kushalnagara. The rally was flagged off by Mr.Logesh, Chief Editor Vijaya Karnataka daily News Paper. Around 400 children from different NCP groups, Tuition classes and neighbouring schools along with teachers, parents and well wishers added colour to the rally. The rally was fully echoed with the voices of children demanding for their safety and protection from abuses.

The public meeting held at Koppa Panchayat Hall. Mr. Renuka Swamy addressed the crowd and reminded them about the responsibility of the society to provide good environment for the growth of children and their safety.

Sr. Rosy Lopez, Directress CDEW society, spoke on the need of self awareness and self protection to be adopted by the children themselves in order to meet the negative situations and alert about the abuses that can happen to the life.

Fr. Alex, Principal of Bharatmatha School Koppa, convinced the audience about Child Rights. He exhorted every one to be a safe guard to Child rights and promote it to the welfare of the children around them.

Mrs. Sahanaz Begum, teacher Bharatmatha School Koppa, highlighted on the duties of children and the need of child’s safety measures to be taken up in the schools, society as well in the family.

The Koppa Panchayat ward members Mr. Manjunath, Mr. Suresh, Mr. Murugash and Sr. Anna T by their presence inspired the gathering to work for Child Rights and Child Protection.

Ms. Jessica NCP Member welcomed the crowd and Ms. Uma NCP representative read the NCP annual Report and Mrs. Suhasini NCP Animator expressed vote of thanks.
