On Nov. 14, 2014, the Solemn Campaign against child abuse and Child Right protection Awareness Rally took off as Sr. Lily Chinnappan the Correspondent and Superior of Auxilium English med ium School, Gavaravaram waved the flag.
Sr. Maria Rajeshwari, principal lead the rally down the Avenue leading to Mandal Head Quarters - Koyyalagudem. The rally was planned such a way that our voice could reach the Official Govt. offices, Schools, business complexes etc. All through the way the students shouted slogans bringing awareness to the public on child rights. The placards and banners served the purpose.
Reaching the circle at Koyyalagudem, our students formed a Human Chain all around blocking the traffic while class 10 students displayed Street Play on the various issues like Child Labour, Child Abuse, Corporal punishment, and Child Marriage.
Following the play, the Cheif Guest Mr. Snehan, the Koyyalagudem Mandal CWC chair person presented a beautiful talk on various Rights of children. He also introduced the POCSO. He also gave us the statistics of child abuse around the state and appreciated the Management for arranging such a beautiful programme to re-awaken the public!
In the midst of Police protection, all the traffic around, our students cried out slogans voicing out their Rights also on behalf of other children of the world.
