Children’s Day Celebration - Auxilium Kattapana

On 8th November 2014 Auxilium Centre Kattapana conducted a colourful rally along with a public awareness meeting about child rights and the need of protection to the children. Around 300 children along with sisters, teachers and NCP animators gathered in the town having placards and slogans.

Kattappana Sub inspector of Police Mr.Sunil kumar did the Flag off ceremony for the rally to begin and Sr. Molly Joseph (Auxilium convent Superior) received the flag foolwed by he gave a small message about children’s day. The rally ended in Panchayath town hall, where a public meeting was organized. Sr. Molly Joseph welcomed the guest and dignitaries of the day. Sri. Johny Kulampally, the Panchayath President presided over the function and the Block Panchayath President Sri.Thomas Rajan inaugurated the meeting. The Panchayat ward members Smt. Jayashree Shine and Sri. Girish Maliyil gave felicitations. CDS chair person Mrs. Bindhu Lohithashan gave the vote of thanks.

NCP children did a Street play about Child Rights and need of child protection.

It gave awareness on Child Rights and the atrocities faced by the children. Child line co- ordinator Mr. Delwin conducted a session on’ Rights and Duties ‘of the children. Senior NCP children did the announcement during the rally and before the rally. The Rally was very successful and it could generate awareness to the public on the need of child protection. It was a great event indeed and it made a difference in the surrounding area.
