A wonderful programme was organized Auxilium Maria Nivas Nandigama on 14th Nov 2014, to bring awareness on Child Rights and Child Protection. Sr. Prameela Principal, Auxilium School, along with the staff invited the neighbouring four schools of the Pallagiri village namely Government Upper Primary school, CSI School, Urdu School, and RCM School. The Head Masters of those schools were good enough to collaborate to organize this programme.
Mondal Educational Officer Sri. Mr. K.Z.S. Kumar was the chief guest, other distinguished guests were Mr. Bikshalu, Serpanch of Pallagiri, Sr. Bala, correspondent of Maria Nivas and all five Headmasters . The rally was solemnly inaugurated by our Sarpanch Mr. Bikshalu, Sr. Bala, Fr. Sridhar our Parish Priest and other Principals. 350 children raised their voices in union making known their rights to education, right to live, right to play, right for protection etc…. whole village joined them to listen to their voices. After the Rally, felicitation was organized in the Government school. Our chief guest Mr. KZS Kumar appreciated Maria Nivas Management for taking up such a noble task in bringing together all five schools under one umbrella which has not taken place in the past 20 years. He encouraged the students to stand for their rights specially to eradicate the Child labor in the village. Even other guests too spoke about the protection of the children.
The cultural programmes were given by our students - skit about the child labour, a dance about the problems of the girl children. Prizes were given to the children who won in the sports. Sr. Bala thanked all the guests for their cooperation in making this day a successful one.
