On 8th Nov 2014, Auxilium Centre Ongole celebrated the children’s day and conducted a rally. It was mainly on the children rights and to bring awareness on the child abuses and discrimination. Around 104 children from different villages, Sisters, Teachers and Volunteers attended this meeting. They conducted a rally in the town which proclaimed the need of protecting children from abuses.
It was a day of celebration. Sr. Josephine the superior of the community was main inviter, Sr. veronica, Sr. Bridget, Sr. Sangeetha, and Sr. Jyothi also were present for the celebration. The programme was began with prayer Dance and a short prayer service invoking God’s blessings.
Sr. Josephine exhorted the children on the need of making right choices in their life and plans for their future. She highlighted the role of the child in the society, of their rights, and how it should help them to open their eyes to the social realities around.
