NCP Leaders Karnataka Region Training Programme

Two days (3.3.2018 to 4.3.2018) training programme for “NCP Leaders at Regional” was organized at Auxilium Preethi Nivas, Maradiyur. It was an initiative taken by the CDEW Society, Bangalore, to provide deeper knowledge and orientation on Neighbourhood Children’s Parliament and the need of having NCP in their villages. The main focus was to enrich the leaders with the leadership qualities and the rights of the children etc.

There were altogether 45 leaders, 8 animators and 4 sisters from the Karnataka region. Sr. Rosy Lopez and Mr. Anthony were the resource persons of these days. The training content included, What is Neighbourhood Children’s Parliament? The need of Neighbourhood Children’s Parliament, duties of the ministers and procedure of meeting, Leadership, the qualities of a good leader, Child rights and Child protection policy.

The children were very enthusiastic, excited and creative in all the activities throughout these two days. They gained a lot of knowledge on NCP and the remarkable benefits of being in NCP group. They learned the basics of NCP, how this NCP group assists one to become a good, responsible and successful person in the society.

3rd & 4th of March were indeed remarkable days in the minds and hearts of these children because of the various activities and games; especially the camp fire indeed made them the days more joyful and memorable one.
