SHG Management and Alternative Livelihood for SHG Women

Two days workshop was organized by CDEW Society on 11th & 12th of September for the SHG women on Organic Farming and Alternative Livelihood at Auxilium Preethinivas, Maradiyur. There were 50 SHG women who got the benefit from this workshop.

Dr. Rajendran Hegde, from Biological Research Innovation Centre and Solutions was the resource person. The workshop included with the principles and practices of organic farming; for the improvement of women’s livelihood together with the improvement of ecosystems.

The point was made very clear that the main purpose of organic farming is to have healthy and nutritious food for their own consumption first then for others and not for making profit.
