Three days of training (16th – 18th September 2018) was organized by NDF FMA on Sustainable Development Goals in view of NCP at SESRCH ASHRAM, Mannivakkam, Chennai. Sr. Mary Joseph, Sr. Nirmala Rodda, Sr. Arul Selvi 3 sisters from Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh & Mr. Maria Anthony from CDEW Society of Bangalore province took part in it. The training was based on Mr. Steve Rocha, the executive Director of NGO PRATYek and Mr. Denzil Basil were the resource persons of the training. There were 29 participants both sisters and lay staff from 6 provinces of India took part in it.
The content of the training included were 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) its impact, Human rights, Advocacy, Development of children's Manifesto, Leadership etc. The three main areas focused upon were to end Poverty, reduce inequality, Earth for all by 2030. The training was included a lot of activities and innovative games through which the participants could discuss and share various ideas and the activities enriched them to gain more knowledge on SDGs.
