We began the day with the Holy Eucharist. Every woman lit a candle in front of our Bl. Mother as they came in procession at the entrance of the Mass. Same way every woman offered gifts in kind to the Lord during Offertory. They were happy to do so.
Competitions were conducted for all the women in the convent ground and most of the women participated. They put up cultural programmes like dances, mimicry, and prizes were distributed for the winners of the games. Though women were feeling shy in the beginning for joining in the dances, slowly they became courageous and brought out their talents so fantastically. We invited the whole village to participate and the photos were clicked by their children and their husbands.
Our Parish Priest Fr. Arokyaswamy appreciated women's role in the building up the family, in bringing up the children, and being peace makers in the society. Sr. Sherly the organizer congratulated the women and appreciated for their sacrificing life and when their hard work is ignored or not acknowledged by others. Sweets were distributed for all as they concluded the programme.
