Who We Are
CDEW Society (Centre for Development and Empowerment of Women Society) is the social development wing of the Salesian Sisters, Province of Bangalore, established in 1993. It is a registered Society commi ed to the overall development of the marginalized children, youth and women through right-based educa on, skill development trainings and empowerment programmes.

Valli and her three younger sisters reached at Auxilium Navajeevana Bangalore when they were just 12, 10, 8 and 5 years of old respectively. They were orphans as their mother died due to cancer and father left the family before mother’s death.

The pandemic and its resulting wave of isolation and economic uncertainty have taken their toll. Hit hard by the pandemic Mrs. Helen Benedict and her husband lost their jobs. Resident of a small village in Koppa in Mysore District of Karnataka,
SUCCESS STORIES:
Mrs. Vimala, is a homemaker and a member of ‘Shreya’ Self Help Group at Maradiyur village (a small agrarian village in Mysore District of Karnataka State) used to help her husband in the farm. They have only one acre of land and used to grow vegetables and yam for them.
